Strange characters

What is the strangest character *you* have ever played? I'm talking about game-mechanics (race, class, templates, etc.), not role play (psycho, anti-social, king, etc.) strange.

And what is the strangest character you, personally, have ever *seen* played? Something played "seriously" -- not a one shot screwing around kind of deal. And not something heard second hand.

Telepathic Senient Brine Shrimp (aka Sea Monkey) armed with a Particle Projection Cannon ... a very tiny PPC.
He had a personality almost identical to Stewie from Family Guy (years before Family Guy debuted).
Granted, this was for an Over/On the Edge game, where such things are expected, but even for OtE this was excessive.

My strangest character that I have ever played would be a multiclassed fighter/sorcerer who was going to be an eldritch knight. Much like Iwatt, I havn't played much either :) .

I always get stuck DMing, and am rather strict with what the players can be so that we all understand what they can do.

Very little, actually. The weirdest thing I've seen are half-dragons and Celestials. I've seen a Gold Dragon Monk before, and a Half-Celestial Paladin, and beyond that, most DM's in my group won't allow something just plain weird.

Actually I've been playing for a long time (+13 years). It's just that: (1) the campaigns I'm in as a player tend to be long affairs, (2) in 2E we never even went into using differnet class/races (only had the core books and seemed good enough back then) and (3) I'm still not done with the traditional archetypes I want to play.

My Namesake Amara Trapspringer-Dart, Halfling, Rogue.
But for the longest time she was cursed and changed into a dwarf, who then was gifted with a child, by Moradin, and gave birth to a Paragon, who was to lead the dwarven clans.
And finally transformed back into a halfling, and through all that she was able to maintain her relationship with a male halfling Joman Dart. Thus towards the end of her, and her companions quest against the ToEE, she married Dart, and helped her companions defeat the Cult, and became a lvl 19 Rogue/Lvl 1 Angel of Vengeance.

Not really that out there.

Luminous (race from mythic races) spontaneous cleric (from UA).

Or custom full orc race gestalted wilderness rogue wolf barbarian (UA).

Or giant race and racial class (AU).
