Strange ways you've found a Web site

Several years ago (7?), this month, I was searching the Web for a site that played spooky Halloween music. I wanted to have the site open and hear the music on my computer during our office Halloween "celebration". I found a site that not only had the music playing, but also had some interesting stories -- urban legends.

That was how I originally found snopes.com. It has been a bookmarked site on 6 computers since then.

What are some strange/unrelated ways you've found Web sites that you have bookmarked?

I paint miniatures as a hobby, and I was searching for sites with galleries of painted miniatures. I found one site with a gallery, and then discovered that it also included in-character journals of D&D campaigns, which I enjoy reading. I liked the way the site was designed, so I emailed the webmistress to compliment her. We've been friends ever since, even though we live on opposite sides of the country and have never actually met. :)

I also discovered ENworld through a link on her site, in addition to a whole assortment of other D&D-related sites.
