Strangest place you've gamed...?

Not outed you git, outage

:devil::p:D:cool:

I gamed mostly with other kids my age (though some of my elders did introduce me to AH games like Acquire & Feudal). My buddies, though,'got me into SFB, Starfire, Squad Leader, Diplomacy and a whole host of other games, like the Metagames classics O.G.R.E./G.E.V., TFT: In the Labyrinth and so forth.

All of which reminds me of my oddest place: on a school bus going to a HS Football game- in which I played NG- a bunch of us were playing Ace of Aces and Lost Worlds.

Not much to compare to some of y'all, but a cherished memory nonetheless.

The Inn at Dragon's Keep

No, seriously - a real place, on Gabriola Island in British Columbia. Our spread out all over the place gaming group get's together every couple years or so for an extended gaming marathon, and we rented the entire main hotel for the occasion.

D&D in Baghdad, too

It looks like military members have some of the wierdest places, except for the guys that have played in medieval castles and the like. I primarily game in the biggest three USUAL places: DM/player's house, game store, pizza place.

But I also kicked off my first 4th Edition D&D campaign in Baghdad, in the wartime US Embassy (AKA Saddam Hussein's Republican Palace). It was fun to play in a real-life palace, with vaulted tiled gold-leaf ceilings, and marble floors and columns, and all those other despotic architectural flourishes we referred to as "Iraqi Tacky."

Not really weird to me now cuz I've done it so often, but I thougt it was weird the first few times: In a church.
Not sure if any of these count, but they're all I could think of:
In the hallways at School.
Walking along the riverbank (Usually just roleplaying sessions, but we brought some dice to roll on a bench if needed).
Coffee shop.
Restaurant.

Though these are all multiple-time things, not one shot deals, so guess they're not that weird..

When I first got into GURPS, my GM and I worked together overnight in retail and we almost always got to work together, so we'd spend 4 or 5 hours a night roleplaying. Our boss didn't care because we were efficient at our work, so the talking and roleplaying didn't bother him.

There's also the mountains in Rocky Mountain National Park. RP'ing at the top of a mountain is kinda cool.

In primary school age gaming, I used to get dragged by the old man (with a friend or two) to old style dances, some of which had massive underground sections. Had some great halls which were great for gaming fun.

During high school, lots of play at train stations, buses and the like. I got to run D&D as a elective class while at high school which was cool though not very strange.

When travelling in India, I got a few games in exotic places, ruins in rajastan desert, house boat in kashmir, few other places there too.

Camping by Bryon Bay in Australia has to be the most beautiful place, plus played in cave behind waterfall not far from there. Also in the nullabor plains more often than i can remember - though thats not so strange for us in Aus.

I've played in the sewer systems :) At night clubs. Once in the projection booth of an adult theatre. A few times in the back rooms of a place quite similar.

The Adelaide Game conventions used to be held in old adelaide jail, playing in the condemmed prisoner wing in cells was pretty epic experience really.

I've RPG'd for most of my life, and been prepared to play with a D6 & the back of a envelope if need be.

(The first person who says "front row at a strip club- WITH one of he dancers"- will be elected Grand Nerdus.

And if the stripper's contact info is available, I'm calling "dibs".)
