Stronghold and taxes

Well, I played my campaign last night and the Baron gave them a choice of either paying a yearly property tax or allowing him to waive that tax for an agreement to help the town in the future as long as he can contact them.

Their first response was, "Well, how much is the tax?" The response from the baron, after a sigh, was, "well, I can refer you to the ministry of assessments if you insist, but that really wasn't the point...." The party got the hint at that remark and agreed to the original offer.

Standard proprty tax would run around 10% per annum.

In wartime, look to increase this to 20/25% depending on the situation.
