Stronghold: Yellow Hall (need details)

I've only mentioned the Yellow Hall in my Gnomish Brotherhood thread. I was planning on detailing it, but not much yet. It isn't a stronghold, just a huge fortress/base for the Brotherhood.

in the old .pdf it is mentioned as a stronghold or was a stronghold. Will this continue to be one or do we need to reclassify it as something else?

it isn't a stronghold. simply because there none of the patrons are members of the gnomeish brotherhood. It's just a very secretive fortress monestary, probably located in the mountains where the gnomes do their research and development. Given how paranoid most the gnomes are I would have a tough time beliveing that any of the patrons even know exactly where it is, if they have traveled there at all even.

i thought this was some huge flying ship. It would make more sense if it is. It would be randomly wandering throughout the land noone knowing where it is or where it is going..

No. The Yellow Hall is a stationary fortress that sits atop a peak, with scores of mooring towers and skydocks. I did a definition for it in the glossary but it was lost (its on the old board unfortunately). Its also mentioned in the Timeline.

Looks Cool!

Are you doing the pics for Daemonforge, havent heard from you in a while?
Not really, I've been working on alot of other stuff (though I have been un inspired)
However, I did begin a painting on panel for DF, it's very small so I can scan it and it's not done yet but hopeful it will look okay when it's finished.

Are the Docks on the outside or inside?
If they are on the out side wouldn't it give the location of the Yellow Hall away?

It was never secret.

Its a big aglomeration of towers with mooring posts and stuff like that.
What would protect it from attack then, wouldn't the demons just try and take out yellow hall?

btw, is it like more mountian with stuff in and on it or is it like they transformed the whole top (or intire) mountain?

don't you think the gnomes would think of this? I would say that they have some docks carved INSIDE the mountain as well as some on the outside. I would build towers along the cliffs as well as having the entire inside of the mountains gutted and replaced with a small metropolis. It would make dwarves proud, in fact I would put money that dwarves would be there doing the work of the gnomes. Picture an anthill for the inide and if you ever played Final Fantasy VIII i would think that the ship hangers would be similar to that...perhaps floating shipyard like in Star Trek?
