Stupid anti d&d christians...

Sorry, but I've never once encountered people of such an opinion nor do I know of anyone who has. These kind of stories are things I read about from back in the eighties when religious fuelled anti-D&D sentiment was at its zenith. I have trouble imagining that anyone in the 21st century is still harping about the evils of D&D. It just seems like a pathetic attempt to join a movement that's been dead for twenty-five years. Are they also going to protest the Vietnam war or condemn Elvis' gyrating hips next?

When I saw the thread title, I thought that I'd see if my slow dial-up connection could bring me the thread before it got closed. Picking out a particular religious group indeed - regardless what I think of them personally, this is clearly not the forum to pick on folks for their convictions.

Then, reading the thread itself, I realized that you have been the victim of an attack. While I would normally agree with those here who say "just shrug it off," I believe that groups who foster and support hate or intolerance of others should always be taken to task and called on to answer for their bigotry.

Rather than having the ISP blacklist them or switching your email, I would collect the hate propaganda they send and forward it to your congression representative or to a civil-rights organization.

There are some very vocal idealogical groups in my area, but none have had the audacity to question my religious beliefs or my liesure activities in language which would compel the kind of retribution due to the folks harrassing you.

Threats of eternal damnation, consumption by demons, or any other undesirable occurance amount to assault, intimidation, coersion, and hate propaganda. This is my opinion and may not reflect the opinion of your local legislature or law enforcement agency, but I believe that it should be.

Welcome indeed! Sorry you didn't join under more favourable circumstances.

There will always be people out there who will believe anything they read. Just let them wallow in their ignorance and move on. They aren't worth any of your time. That's the best thing to do.

My favorite moment in my teen years was watching my buddy Don explain to a local youth pastor that you didn't worship the Devil when you played D&D...

You killed him.

Then you took his gold and magic items:)
