Stupid Pcs that roll high

I have a player (the Frenzied Berserker Aust in my sig), who nearly always rolls 20s when he needs them, but only with my calculator's random number generator. After he got 12 20s that he needed in a row (not 12 consecutive rolls though, but he killed an Aspect of Lolth because of them), we banned him to only use dice forevermore. As a result of his luck though, he made a character choice wherein his character became obsessed with luck and randomness, and he took the Dragon Magazine feat that lets him roll twice on random rod of wonder rolls and began a good relationship with the clergy of the goddess of luck. So we did have an in-character reason for all this craziness...and then, he found the Machine of Lum the Mad. Oh, and even with the dice, he usually still crits when he needs it, but not as often, and this has made a huge roleplaying impact on the character, so nobody really complains.

I have a group of 7 players. The odds are that someone is going to roll a 20 at some point in a multiround combat (and the odds are someone is going to roll a 1, too). But when it is always the same person . . . well, something is rotten in the state of Denmark.

Our party rougue rolled three critical misses last week. I guess thats not too weird...but she was a bit miffed.

Hey keeper, I didnt realize there were any other Daytonians on these boards.

Not necessarily.

We had one player with an archer type that always rolled critical hits in competition. In combat she always rolled critical failures. And I do mean always.

Some characters just have a mind of their own.

For 7 levels, Ilan the Archer was the worst character our group had ever seen. He rolled poorly, and even when he hit, he only did a small amount of damage. The he took Improved Critical. Do you know that feat gets better if you make more attacks per round (haste, rapid shot) :) ?

We have a player that quite legitimately rolls crits with his PC's long spear pretty much whenever he needs to. There isn't any question of cheating; he rolls his dice on a flat-bottomed platter sort of thing, and can just pass around the 20 when it happens.
I played one session with a guy who did that. He always rolled his dice in this odd plastic bin, which nobody else was allowed to touch. For important rolls he'd pick the container up off the table and say gibberish words while rolling into it, and the die would then invariably come up 20.

Turns out it was a complicated way of cheating. He was using a metal die, and he had gone to the trouble of magnetizing it so that 20 was one of the poles. It still behaved normally most of the time, but when he picked up his container, he pressed a switch to turn on the hidden electromagnet. Click, instant "natural" 20.

I was kind of impressed with the ingenuity. When I kicked him out of the game I told him he should try and be a stage magician.

Why? Just why? Ridiculous.

streaks, when I DM I constantly roll in streaks.

last night I rolled in a row 3,6,4,8,8, there was a couple other rolls none over 8 all rolled for the enemy's defense the result the PC's killed him in two rounds.

The Next 2 round the next enemy rolled to attack he rolled 3 1's out of 4 attacks, the fourth was a miss by 2 I forgot the roll but the 3 1's out of 4 rolls earned 3 AoO and he too died, -as a a result of attacking which is odd?
