Subscribers now get the entire WAR OF THE BURNING SKY campaign saga - in 4E AND 3.5!

I don't understand the complaints - or rather, I understand them, but don't regard them as valid. It's not that unusual to charge a premium for getting access to something earlier than the other kids. You can pay more to get the product sooner, or pay less (or nothing you wouldn't have been paying anyway) to get them later, whichever seems more reasonable to you. The way I see it everyone wins.

Including Morrus. Assuming ENP follows the pattern we've been told many times WotC follows, where most products sell nearly all they're ever going to within three months of release, this is if anything a way to get extra revenue out of something that would otherwise have been largely inert as a revenue source.

Incidentally, I say this as someone who paid for the entire 3.5 version, albeit mostly at the $1 price.

I think this is an insane bargain!

As someone who just last week re-upped his CS account after an extended absence, I'm almost feeling a little guilty.

Mainly, there's a heaping load more color interior art in the 4E version (tactical maps, primarily, but also some illustrations).

Are these maps and illos extractible with a simple Adobe Reader? One of the reasons I gave up Pathfinder was that their was not. I like to print illustrations as handouts and I have a b24 inch printer to print battlemaps, but having to do so from screenshots is a lot of added work.

If you check the WotBS web page, battlemaps are available as a free download/web-enhancement for every single adventure.

Hey Morrus,

I think this is a great deal for subscribers and I really would like to support you and your site, so I ask the following question again, as I've unfortunately didn't got a response from you in another thread.

Is there any chance to change the payment method via paypal so that it doesn't require one to have a credit card? I had a subsrciption earlier this year, with the old model for 3 month, and there was no need to have one back then. Now, paypal always requires me to add a credit card which I don't have...

Hope that's somehow possible, as I want to help but can't as it is right now.

Anyway, thanks in advance.

So... how many adventures are available for download right now for 4E?

EDIT: nevermind, I actually read the front page.. heh. My 4E campaign ended up fizzling away.. maybe this could be the way to renew..

I suspect that since it's a recurring subscription PayPal wants a funding source of some kind, as opposed to a one-off purchase.

The only way I could do that is create a one-off $3 purchase which you'd have to manually renew every single month. I'm averse to doing that, though, because I don't want to encourage people to pay $3, download all the content (which is worth a lot of money) and then not renew it the next month.

How about setting up 12,18,24 and 36 month "subscriptions" at PayPal where you pay up for an entire year or more for those who don't have credit cards? That way, you know you get atleast XX$ from a person, even if he or she doesn't renew after a year?

That's exactly what I just stopped doing when I moved to the monthly. :)

It plays absolutely havoc with cashflow, and if the option is there everybody would likely choose it.

EN World's prime need right now is a solid regular monthly revenue stream. In fact, it's imperative to its continuation that it develops one.

I'll investigate some of the other payment processors out there. PayPal may be the big kid on the block, but it's not the only kid.

There should be no [EDIT] computer-based, technical [/EDIT] restrictions on copying [EDIT] the illustrations [/EDIT] from the PDF.

Tested with Adobe Reader 9.2.0, and it works fine for me.
