Subscribers now get the entire WAR OF THE BURNING SKY campaign saga - in 4E AND 3.5!

That's exactly what I just stopped doing when I moved to the monthly. :)

It plays absolutely havoc with cashflow, and if the option is there everybody would likely choose it.

EN World's prime need right now is a solid regular monthly revenue stream. In fact, it's imperative to its continuation that it develops one.

I'll investigate some of the other payment processors out there. PayPal may be the big kid on the block, but it's not the only kid.

Yeah, I was thinking of doing a 1 year subscription rather than per month, because:

1) If I understand correctly, I can get all of 3E WotBS right away, which means logically there's no reason to pay for longer. However....

2) I'd feel dirty gaming things like that, so I'd at least like to get a 1 year subsciption out of guilt. But...

3) I'm really lazy. I don't want to have to renew my subscription each month. On the other hand, I also don't want the money automatically withdrawn each month until I say "STOP!" I'd really rather just buy it all in one big chunk and be done.

That said, if it can't be done, it's only a small inconvenience, I don't mind that much having to renew each month.

It seems like you'd want to have both options -- you don't really want to turn down folks' cash, do you? -- but just create extra incentives for the monthly subscription.

I say this as someone who, for example, supports public radio with yearly donations, but doesn't like the monthly subscription model, though I realize which is better from your perspective.

No, no. Only the first adventure is currently available on the subscription. They're being (re)-released gradually at the same time as the 4E versions.

I can't think of anything left to give folks as an incentive! The subscription contains pretty much everything I have. :)

No, I meant incentives for the monthly subscriptions (as you are doing), but not as many for folks that want to pay, for example, in one-year blocks. That way everyone can contribute at their comfort level, but if one wants all the perks, they have to go monthly. I'll again bring up the public radio model here (it's on my mind since they are currently doing their membership drive, another idea) where there are different perks for different levels and schedules of contribution.

The 3.5 version if The Scouring of Gate Pass was released three years ago. Subscriber got a three-year advantage!

For the RPGNow 4E subscribers, I am happy to "convert" the original sub to a community supporter sub of equivalent value, but you'll be six months or so behind the RPGNow releases that way and at an equivalent rate you wouldn't end up with all 12 adventures that way since the equivalent sub here wouldn't last long enough.

So RPGNow subscribers got very good value. But if they honestly feel that this is a better deal, I'm happy to convert the purchase price of the rpgnow sub to an equivalent value EN World account. It's completely your choice!

I'd like to take you up on that offer. I was already a Community Supporter, and when the appeal to support EN World went out, I specifically dropped $50 on subscribing to the WotBS 4e series, thinking that it'd be a good way to support the site, and that I may run the series for my group next year sometime.

Now, three weeks later, it's being offered at no additional cost to the CS account I already had.

I'm happy to support the site, but - like mach1.9pants - I feel a bit taken advantage of, and would rather convert the rest of my WotBS sub to a CS extension if the WotBS is to be released in this manner.

If it matters, I subbed to WotBS through EN World itself and not RPGNow.

Not a problem! I'll switch it over to the CS version for you. I've extended your subscription by 14 months.
