It really depends mainly on her role in the story.
If she is to tempt the players, her price range must be something the players might be likely to accept. In the gold is xp setting of DnD, this is probably not gold, but services rendered. She'd in effect become a patron. Of course, it would help her case if her normal price was reallly exorbiant "I normally charge 100,000 gp, but if you render me this itsy-bitsy service..."
