Suggested group for Worlds Largest Dungeon

First Post
Our group is going to go through the world's largest dungeon soon, but we have no clue what any of us are going to play.

Do any of you have any ideas for a good set of character builds that work well togather?

We joked about a group of five clerics, hehe.

I'd suppose - not knowing the adventure personally - a good mix of abilities with an emphasis on combat would be good.

2 warriors, 1 rogue or scout, 1 divine caster, 1 arcane caster.

For example:

Wood Elf Barbarian 1/Fighter 2/Ranger X with Extra Rage, Power Attack and Improved Trip (Int -2 hurts a bit, tho)
Human Paladin 2/Sorcerer 6/Eldritch Knight X with Arcane Strike and Practiced Spellcaster
Whisper Gnome Rogue X/Fighter 4 with TWF and Weapon Specialization
Human Cleric X
Dwarf Wizard 5/PrC X

in the early sections you will need at least 1 rogue and I would suggest 2 if possible. A good healer to slap the band aids on the party is also mandatory.

The rogue(s) also needs darkvision

warforged from ebberron are also really powerful in the early sections of the WLD.

Not needing to carry food, and not needing to sleep are a coupel of very potent advantages.

the immunity to poisons and diseases is also really useful.

We also ruled that a Warforged was immune to the Blood Drain attack of the numerpous stirges in the first section

If you go into a dungeon with five characters and no rogue, it's your own fault, I say. :p

I agree, a dungeon crawl without someone to spot traps and unlock stuff is doomed. Keep in mind the rogue's other skills and combat ability as well.
