Suggestions for 1" map tiles?

I'm doing prep work for my first campaign ever, set in a wizarding school.

One of the resources I have come across are Ron Shirtz's gorgeous 1" map tiles. I've never actually played 3e with a group that used minis and maps before, and these maps really want to make me try it for once. I'd like to know if anybody else has used a similar resource, and what the result was for their game. If you know of any good downloadable collections, could you post the URL please?

How-tos? or Examples?

I love what you guys have done with this.

I'd just like a couple of examples to get me started or even a webpage to show me how to use Paint Shop Pro to build my own Tiles.

I have PSP but havent really gotten deep into it yet, but if I had a couple of files then I should be able to muddle my way through it.

Any thing like this out there?

Yeah - I have to agree with you... Ron Shirtz's stuff is really cool

And to be honest with you - it was after seeing some of Ron's tiles (on the HeroQuest web-site) that I decided that I would try my hand at making some of my own - the result of which can be seen on the following page of my website:

I know that they don't come up to the same standard as Ron's work - but you may (or may not) find them useful

Actually, Kris, it was your excellent tiles that got me interested in them in the first place! The very first thing I did was to scour your website and your all your links

Incidentally, I'm going to use the 8-way tile for the Evocation practice room. Each of the exits will actually be an alcove with a protective barrier in front of the students!

If I can get some time and inspiration, I might start GIMPing out some tiles one of these days...
