Summoner help

There is also a feat in Complete Divine that lets you spontaneously cast summon nature's ally spells.

Isn't there a base-DMG prestige class that involves summoning? Thaumaturgist?

Take the best of both worlds - be a Druid/Conjurer/Mystic Theurge.

This would be my suggestion, too. Or if you prefer, a Spirit Shaman (CD) rather than Druid and pick up that feat that lets you spontaneously convert for Summon Nature's Ally spells. Maybe also look in UA for the Conjurer alternatives to normal wizard abilities, particularly the one that lets you trade your familiar for the ability to cast Summon Monster spells as a standard action rather than a full round action.

There is a summoner domain that gives you access to SM I-3,5, & 7 along with Lesser Planar ally, Planar Ally, Greater Planer ally and Gate. This may or may not help you get both SM & SNA.

The only way that I could see this working is going Driud then take one level of Comptemplative.... You get a bonus domain, and +1 caster level. The only drawback I can see to this is that you can not do it before about ninth level. You need 13 ranks in Knowledge (religion).

Ditto for the Summoner Domain (+2 to caster level for all Conjuration (summoning) or Conjuration (calling) spells). 2 extra rounds of duration = 2 extra rounds of goodness.

Oh, and it's 11th level for Contemplative at the earliest (10th level for the skill prereq; level + 3 for max skill ranks), IIRC.

The summoner domain is in the complete Divine.....

I just had another thought... Isn't there a feat that let's you gain access to a domain's spells without the special power ? If so, does anyone have the prereqs ?

If it works you might gain access earlier and not have to take the PrC.
