Sumo Wrestler Mini

I broke down and ordered the sumo honor guard today. I'll have to let you guys know how they all turn out once I attempt to paint them.

Thanks for all of the suggestions!

Though I ordered the sumo honor guard last it was the first one I received in the mail. I don't use a weapon with this character so what's the easiest way to remove the weapon from the hand? Would I just use a knife to cut it off? I can get a dremel (a miniature grinder so to speak) which seems to be ideal for the job.

On painting the mini- anyone have tips on how to properly apply an ink wash to a mini? Everytime I use an ink it always wants to smear all over the mini instead of going into the recessed areas. If some of my paints are drying up can I just add a little water to them or do I need to buy more paint? Any pointers are much appreciated.

The mini is too large to use (unless I am enlarged) but it is an awesome figure! Thanks to frankthedm for the suggestion!

You'll want to look into being enlarged at all times. Also consider using a weapon with the character, even if you rely on sumo style. D&D is full of monsters you can't or don't want to touch.
