If you enjoy taking good treasure away from yourself, if you (or your party) can't use or don't want the weapon, or if you're a Monk. Yes that's when Improved Sunder (or Sunder) "Rocks". Other then that it sucks. Which is kinda like rocks, but with an "su" in place of the "ro". ;)

When you're fighting an enemy with Unholy weapons, destroying them is probably the only option anyways.

I just think it would be cool if you could sunder natural weapons. There isn't much that would be more depressing than a Dragon on a permanent diet of apple-sauce. :D

No there's another option, Kill the bad guy, & leave the unholy weapon. With any luck some little kid, or pink bunny, will pick it up & become an uber foe that will hunt you down. You'll then kill it, find out that you've done a bad thing switch Align's & be able to use the (cool) weapon for yourself (or sell it for loads of $$$$). :)

Taa' Daa! Magic Rub logic! Remember kids always think out side of "The Box" in D&D, & you'll never get shafted out of the good weapons:D

...& Yes Squishy (if you read this) I know I said "Shafted" :D

LOOT THE BODIES! LOOT THE BODIES!

...sorry, don't know what came over me. I guess treasure is all there is to this game. Coolness factor never matters.

I guess I'll just have to go rip up my samurai's character sheet...

Some people play for imaginary treasure, & Some people play to be imaginarily cool. ;) lol :) What ever floats your boat.

Don't do that, you could use white-out, or erase it. Unless you want to rip it up for a playing challenge. It'd be killer hard to play a PC if you had to look at 50,000 scraps to find a stat. :)
