Sundering a double weapon...

Short question, if I want to sunder a double weapon we make opposed attack rolls as usual. What's the "type" for a two bladed sword? Is it a metal hafted weapon? Or a blade like a greatsword? And when it's destroyed the entire weapon is destroyed, correct?

I'd treat it as a two-handed blade: hardness 10, hp 10. It is not hafted.

Using this rule: "Very large objects have separate hit point totals for different sections." I separate out double weapons (so both sides have hardness 10, hp 10). While a double weapon may not be in the same realm as other very large objects like a house or something, it certainly simplifies a lot of questions like this one and what happens with both ends have different enhancements or different materials (if you allow that). Thus, the answer from my perspective (within RAW IMO) is that no, the entire weapon is not destroyed. Both sides would have to be destroyed.
