Ah, 3.0. Where swords were made of tissue paper.

In 3.5, it'd be Hardness 12, HP 15 (see PHB, p. 165; the DMG entry is incorrect). It's +2 Hardness & +10 HP/point of enhancement bonus. This is another reason to get swords made out of mithral or adamantine, and to buff up the enhancement bonus.

The funny thing is, I did get the info from the 3.5 SRD:

3.5 SRD said:
Hardness and Hit Points: An attacker cannot damage a magic weapon that has an enhancement bonus unless his own weapon has at least as high an enhancement bonus as the weapon or shield struck. Each +1 of enhancement bonus also adds 1 to the weapon’s or shield’s hardness and hit points.

Weird that my copy of the SRD has an error in it (can't be the only one though)

:\

AR

Edit: the SRD does state that a +1 to a shield add +2 to hardness and +10 hp, though...

This was changed in the DMG Errata, to be the same as the rule for shields. It has not been changed in the SRD currently on wizards.com though.

(snip details of a DM who fails to keep the proper rein on his game) in my opinion sunder is broken!

Sure, that's your opinion but I've read a lot of your other posts and can only conclude that you and your group have only a very basic grasp of the rules of the game.

PS: I would never dream of attempting to correct your spelling/grammar/punctuation but try using "uber" instead of "ubber" if you want to seem a little less silly. Someone else will have to show you the proper German spelling.
