The CGI bugged me a little, the dog and baby. Would have liked to have at least seen some practical shots of a real dog.
I think they did a bit of practical stuff -- there's a Humane Society certification near the end of the credits saying they monitored how animals were handled in the movie and that they were all treated well.

Mr. Terrific was, actually, kinda terrific. Surprising, because he's never been an A-lister, to my knowledge. Not that I'm a huge DC guy. I guess that's kind of the James Gunn MO though.
Mr. Terrific has been steadily rising in profile since he appeared in one of the modern day Justice Society runs. In the Justice Gang, he's serving the same role as Batman in the Justice League -- the super-smart billionaire who vaguely looks down on Superman while still being a hero -- but without ruining the Batman mystique by having him run around in the daylight and on camera. I suspect we're going to see a lot of Terrific going forward, especially with the fantastic appearance in this film.

Could have been worse. James Gunn teased an original Guardians of the Galaxy team in one of the end credit scenes, but it was really just a cameo; nothing ever came of it; Starhawk, Mainframe, Martinex, etc. Fake teasers are even worse than dumb jokes.
I don't think that was fake. I think that's typical Kevin Feige throwing spaghetti at the wall to possibly use later. There's a ton of dropped threads in the MCU, many of them from after-credit scenes.

Super-picky thing, and not important -- and the kind of thing I roll my eyes when people say this sort of thing about the MCU movies -- but why change the name from "LexCorp" to "LuthorCorp?" "LexCorp" has been around for decades at this point and, via the cartoon, I think it's probably better known to the general public than any of the secondary heroes in this movie are.

It's not a problem, per se, but I look forward to the director commentary potentially explaining that change.

Same. The little guys with no powers, ordinary average Joes, standing up and doing what's right and risking their lives are infinitely more heroic than characters with actual powers. Especially someone with effectively unlimited power like Superman.
Right. Same as this guy.

I'm not as much into Superman lore as I am X-Men, but I've definitely seen both LexCorp and LuthorCorp. Smallville, for example, used LuthorCorp, primarily because it was being run by Lex's father Lionel (with Lex being put in charge of a Smallville-based subsidiary to prove himself, IIRC). I don't know if that's intended to indicate a similar thing going on where Lex inherited the business rather than built it himself.
