Well, yes. Everyone was too preoccupied with clerics for some reason.I knew that was going to happen.
Correcting #725. The battle is lost and won.Oath of the Ancients 1 - 2 = 0
School of Divination 9 + 1 = 10
Yes, but... diviners...Well, yes. Everyone was too preoccupied with clerics for some reason.
Thanks for the nomination, @OB1 . I'm happy to carry the torch for a little while. I'll have the new 5E Survivor thread up sometime tomorrow.
Yeah, I know right? They're like 0.03 Abjurers, at best.Yes, but... diviners...
That is strange, I had hit refresh before doing my vote to see if anyone else had voted and the last post I saw was 721.Correcting #725. The battle is lost and won.
I meant that they... oh never mind. I've just found my coat.Yeah, I know right? They're like 0.03 Abjurers, at best.
Cut 'em some slack! Consider the crappy treatment the divination specialty has gotten since 2e. They've waited so very long for this!Yes, but... diviners...
Yeah, but other than Portent and Greater Portent, I find the 5e version pretty crappyCut 'em some slack! Consider the crappy treatment the divination specialty has gotten since 2e. They've waited so very long for this!![]()
I disagree on Expert Divination. The point of it is that you are so good at divination spells that it takes less power to cast them. That's represented imperfectly by slot restoration. It's related, but not done as well as they could have done.Yeah, but other than Portent and Greater Portent, I find the 5e version pretty crappyDivine Savant is meh. Expert Divination, imo, has nothing to do with divination. Third Eye, I think that i see what they are going for, but I still find it meh or disappointing.
It has been a long while, but did I misread Expert Divination and it is limited to divination spells? Looking at the description on review sites, the feature description does not specify Divination spells anywhere in the description of the ability as having to be the spells regained (even then, it still feels weird to me given spell slots)I disagree on Expert Divination. What they should have done is allow the casting of divination spells you know using spell slots up to 3 levels lower than the divination spell, minimum of level 1.
I should have foreseen that my attempt at humour would be misunderstood. My opener was - "I knew this was going to happen". It was a...Cut 'em some slack! Consider the crappy treatment the divination specialty has gotten since 2e. They've waited so very long for this!![]()
Not exactly. You can get any slot back, but it only triggers when you cast divination spells. It's an imperfect mechanic to represent what it does.It has been a long while, but did I misread Expert Divination and it is limited to divination spells?
