What core classes need to leave the island?

  • Cleric. I pray that I am not chosen.

"broken" has a clear meaning. "not liking" or "not needed" is not one of those definitions no matter how you look at it.

FWIW, it's not clear to me what that clear meaning is. I don't design games, but when I design a system or a program, something is "broken" anytime it is more trouble than it is worth and I wish I had tossed it out or rewritten it early on. Broken = "not accomplishing design objective", but that design objective can be whatever the designer wants.

Look man, I can only go by what words mean in the English language. If they mean something completely different in your head, then I can't be blamed for not following what you really mean.

You asked a poll question that has nothing to do with what is broken or not, yet made a statement that the poll results prove that the monk and ranger are broken in 5e just like they were in 1e. That makes no sense, logically. When I pointed this out, you made an equally non-related strawman that I must like paladins. Your words, not mine. I can only go by what you actually post.
