Ok, Planescape Torment bows out so early? Damn. Great NPCs, great epic story. But guess the same can be said of most of the last contenders. Hated to see the old school games out like PoR Gold Box. Started out on those, but suppose they paved the way to some good stuff.

I think the first one I ever played was the Menzoberranzan CD-ROM game...found it in the discount bin of the same store where I bought my first computer. I wouldn't call it a "good" game, but it got me hooked on the whole genre.
