Survivor: Guatemala

My dislike for Steph grew by leaps and bounds this episode. Did anyone else catch her throwing down the ropes she was holding when her team lost the luxury competition? It seems like she is doing little else then whining and complaining this season.

She was frustrated that they blew their lead and lost the challenge. I think that's fairly understandable. She may be whining and complaining but she's clearly outperforming many of her team mates on challenges.

On the other hand, I think it could be that she believes a bit too much of her own press and can't understand why "The Strongest Woman Ever To Play the Game" can't lead her team to victory more often.

Might, but at least he's doesn't have a mark on him. It's one thing to be a football player in the NFL (when an average joe think that they make a lot of money to retire early), to add that he was a QB makes you wonder why he need a $1 mil.

He was a quarterback back in the 80's, and not a very good one at that. Mostly a career backup. I can't find the exact figures, but he definately did not make the kind of money people may be thinking. Guessing maybe in the $100k range.

Can't agree with this. I see hardly any difference compared to her frustrations from her first season. She got just as frustrated then when they lost. It may be a bit pronounced cuz some are looking for it but that would be it.

This time around I find her attitude to be very much "holier then thou", and I don't remember her being as vocal about her teammates shortcomings last season.

Well, sure there is her commentary about frustration compared and adding to last season. That's bound to happen. I just see it as progression. I also happen to like Steph. If she annoys you, that's ok - cheering for someone to get voted off is just as fun as cheering for someone to stay on as an underdog.

I'm still in the "evaluation phase" right now. I can barely remember any of the contestants names (Steph and Bobby John excepted) and nobody has emerged as my favorite(s). I usually start to develop some faves a few episodes before the Merge. So right now I'm just watching and judging who I'm going to pull for.
