Survivor: Palau - 05/05/2005 - [Spoilers]

Hand of Evil

Hero

Lets risk a rock and the villian falls!

It has always been about Tom and Ian, friends and loyality and last night we saw just how far they will take it. Gegg got the boot and did not see it coming, it made me smile, now Katie needs to go!

I do hope fair play wins out in the long run, not greed or back stabbing.

I love the reward challenges like this one that shows everybody where people fall in the pecking order. Gregg, Katie and Jen got what they deserved. And I'm sure that Ian, Tom and Karyn have all figured out that the best chance to win $ 1 M is to have Katie sitting next to them at the end, so it's a safe bet that Jen will go next week.

I want Tom and Ian to be the final 2, and so long as they can secure 1 vote from the girls, I bet it will happen. Get Caryn, and the two of them vote Jen, and there you go, the 2 of them in the finals. The only issue is the girls knowing it, and whichever of the two doesn't get immunity is going home.

I can see Ian's tactics but still think telling KAtie was a bad choice even though it worked out.

The look on Jen's face was worth a million dollars by it self.

Karyns acting was great as well.

Now Jen is up for being controlled since her meal ticket is canned. Now she can become an easy vote or be used by someone else to control the game. The woman's alliance would work out well now with them having fairly equal chances of beating each other in a jury vote compared to going against tom or ian. If I was Jen I would be trying to sell that big time.

Gregg I think screwed himself by taking jen and katie on the reward. If you have a team like that one of them should have stayed to watch the camp and strategy discussion. You have to make sacrifices.

I personally would like to see tom or ian win but seldom due the "good" guys win.

I was so hoping gregg would go!

and he did, Jen was completely blind sided ... Gregg didn't see the whole thing coming, but I think he had an inkling deep down.

I would have liked to see all the girls (well not jen) vote gregg out instead of steph going.

Gregg and Jen just had a 'Rob and Ambuh' feel all over them ... it's bad enough the R & A are rocking in the Amazing race (I was so hoping to see them fail)

... wow, I just realized I don't like Rob ... didn't like him in either survivor and don't like him in amazing race ... something about to much arrogance combined with competence just bugs me

don't forget luck...I too dislike Rob but I have to say I will model a bad guy after him! ;)

Telling Katie was the plan all along, force her to either side with them and make it at least another 3 days or take a chance and pick the rock. She took the safer route and sided with them.

The big mistake that Gregg did was to ask Jen if it was ok for him to lower her fire wok, that sent a clear message that they were working close together. He should have just done it with a "sorry but that's how the game is played" attitude and did damage control later.

As for Rob and Ambuh, I didn't like them either, actually let me correct that its Rob I don't like, way to arogant, he thinks he is the king of the hill and that nothing he does is wrong but when in reality its Amber that calls the shots. He is a puppet leader and he doesn't even know it. I firmly believe that she is the reason he didn't get the boot on the all-stars, she must have been doing some major PR for him to survive that long.

I too am enjoying this season, and was surprised to see the plan actually work at tribal council this week.

But I am chiming in to say that I have become a Romber fan, especially on the Amazing Race. They are excellent at playing the game. Rob is cocky, but most of the time it is justified.

I see a little of Rob in Tom, although he is trying much harder to be nice to everyone. Still, Tom is very confident in himself, and he lets it show. Nothing wrong with that, but some people take offense anyway. He and Ian are making a great team.

I love that the pair was broken. I too hated Rob in Survivor.

Now on the other hand. I find him to absolutely be the best individual in Amazing Race. He has absolutely no problems in getting local help... in fact, if you watch he demands it of whomever he can find. The other teams don't try as hard to get that kind of help. I don't think Rob is a nice, or kind person.... but he is definitely a good Racer.

I hope Tom wins Survivor. I have not seen him do anything too un-ethical so far (given the nature of the game), and I would prefer that the 'good' people win, rather than the bad (but arguably good players).

Point: Ethan deserved to win. Richard Hatch, Amber (and Rob indirectly) did not deserve to win. In my opinion.
