[SW Saga] The most horrible character EVAR!!!

Unfortunately, it was difficult for Jar-Jar to strike fear in the hearts of his enemies, since the Emporer named him Darth Ridiculous.

Actually, going with the usual pattern, it should be Darth Iculous.

As for a Backstory...hmmm...this version of Jar Jar is smarter than the movie version, so he was always a bad seed, faking clumsiness to cause "accidents" to people he disliked. Darth Sidious realized his potential and nurtured it, and here's the awful result! On this interpretation, Jar Jar knew exactly what he was doing when he proposed to the Senate that Palpatine be given emergency powers.

I already *gave* the part of his backstory not given by George Lucas. Dooku could have trained Jar Jar (like he trained that other assassin in the Clone Wars cartoons) for some of the levels, Jar Jar canonically *was* a general (for the officer level), etc. Just use the canonical Jar Jar's backstory except as modified above.

So very, very many errors in that write-up.

Initiative isn't a skill all of a sudden?
He has two different Perception scores.
He has eight trained skills instead of the four that a 15 int Jedi should have.
He should only have eight feats (plus some starting feats), instead of the ten plus starting that he's got.
He doesn't speak ten languages like he should.

And all that is cursory.

Given the way he was portrayed in the movies, Initiative ISN'T a skill the real Jar-Jar would ever have. But we are not talking about the real Jar-Jar... we are talking about Darth Iculus.

Fortunately, by keeping errors in his character sheet we are preventing him from entering our reality as a result of his character sheet being illegitimate... How ever, as all CoC players know, the utterance of an incomplete/erronful does not GUARANTEE that a elderitch horror will not be brought fourth and summoned into our reality. With that said, last night I heard untold whispers from beyond the rim of our galaxy....

During the years leading up to the Clone War, Jar-Jar Bimks made a dreaded mistake that would cost the lives of millions of Gungens: He lead them to the water moon of Uhma-D'un where he discovered a long lost Sith Holocron which beckoned to him from its long lost watery tomb. The voice he heard was Darth Iculous, a dreaded sith lord who was murdered by his apprentice over a millenia ago. Using the ultimate Sith secret of immortality, Darth Iculous's spirit took possession of Jar-Jar's body.

I'll answer this one by one.

Initiative isn't a skill all of a sudden?

You are right, I was copying the stat block off a web page. Init should be +13 to account for the half-class level addition. He doesn't get a +5 bonus for being trained, because he is not.

He has two different Perception scores.

Good point. It should be +15 and I will change it to match.

He has eight trained skills instead of the four that a 15 int Jedi should have.

His first level was in scoundrel, giving him 4 skills + 1 use the force from the force sensitivity feat +2 from int, which got stat boosted late enough that he could get the other 2 skills. So I need to change one of the Improved Damage Threshold feats to Skill Training: Endurance.

He should only have eight feats (plus some starting feats), instead of the ten plus starting that he's got.

Every time he multi-classes into a new basic class for the first time, he gets to pick a new feat from that basic class's starting feats. Scoundrel 1 (his first character level) gave him point blank shot and wp pistols and wp simple weapons (which gungan adds cesta and atlatl to). Shake it off comes from Scout 1, Linguist from Noble 1, armor prof (light) from soldier 1, wp (lightsaber) from jedi 1. Scout 2 gives him Precise Shot. The rest can be paid for, except for the 2 Improved Damage Thresholds, once I buy Skill Training (Endurance). No great loss. :)

He doesn't speak ten languages like he should.

Where does that come from? He took Linguist at noble level 1 which got him 2 more languages (binary and wookie) in addition to his starting languages. If you play the "intelligence increases grant retroactive languages" rule, then he should get 2 more bonus languages at character levels 8 and 16, but I don't think that languages gained are retroactive. If they are, add two more languages, not 10.

[edit: the saga rules are very retroactive friendly, so I will add 2 more languages, but not 10 without further argument as to why]

If there is something else I missed, point it out to me.

He gets 2 for being a gungan and 2 for being smart. He took Linguist once, which got him 3 languages (1 + Int bonus) for total of 7. When I looked at this last, he'd taken Linguist a second time, giving him another 3 languages (1 + Int bonus) for a total of 10 languages.

Ah, fixed. Thanks! Jar Jar now speaks High Galactic.

I think the trouble was I thought that Linguist gave two languages, so the original (2) in brackets was meant to refer to the number of languages, not the number of feats.

Was there anything else, or is Jar Jar now (almost) legal?
