Swallow Whole as an action

Sure makes a ring of freedom of movement at the top of the christmas list don't it? You'll never have to worry about being swallowed again.

A swallowed creature is considered to be grappled, while the creature that did the swallowing is not.


Does this strike anyone else as pretty horrible?

Character one is swallowed, he wasnt holding a light weapon and so has just about zero chance of being able to escape (most creatures that can swallow you are at least 2 size categories larger than you, good luck)

Character two is swallowed and was weilding a short sword. He can escape by poking his way out with a blace 3+ feet long.

So, you cant draw a few inches of dagger in order to attack, but you can get your 3'+ long blade that you must pierce with into position? I am lost as to how this makes any sense at all.

Makes a lot of sense to me (except for the concept to cut yourself out at all). Twohanded weapon wielders are screwed! TWF dudes rock! Freedom to the light weapons!
