Swarms for larger creatures? What Book?

I remember hearing about a type of swarm for larger creatures from someone at Gen Con (Possibly Xanth?). The person described that it was a way to do swarms with creatures larger than a swrm would allow.

Anyone seen this rule? I believe it was in a Wizards book, but I am at a loss as to which one it is. I am working on determining which books I will persue after I sell my collection assuming the entire collection sells.

They are called "mobs" and can be found in DMG2.

Sounds to me like you're thinking of the "mob" template from DMG2.

It depends on the creature I guess - terrasques probably come in swarms and archliches come in mobs.

Actually, I think it's a herd of tarrasques. And a swarm of advanced paragon chasme barbarians 15th.
