Sweet Cover Art?

Oh man, Iron Heroes rox my socks off. Jerry Jarvis was at one point my most hated WotC artist, but he's really come of age in terms of *wow* factor.

(sorry for the large pic; it came right off montes' site :o

Also, anything by Wayne Reynolds, my #1 favourite D&D artist. Some of the Eberron stuff is really good :D

I was in a used book store looking at gaming books, and I bought Dragon 148 'cause I liekd the picture :D

Well, it isn't available to see online or in print yet, but the best cover art I have ever seen is the one Wayne Reynolds did for Lands of the Jade Oath. You can see the art put on a home-made DM screen at GenCon here and here. Of course I am biased since it is my project Wayne did the cover for, but I honestly believe it to be the best he has ever done regardless.

Dragon #147
This one was also in one of the 2nd Edition books, but I can't remember which one. I based the WoK character known as Crystal Tigerstorm off this picture.

Rifts has some very nice covers. many of which could make this list in my opinion. But my favorite? That would be this image from an issue of Dragon...

I've always loved the Githyanki cover of the 1e Fiend Folio.

Probably in no small part because when the book came out, the GM tormented us with them before we knew what they were. He used the cover as a visual aid to show us what we saw.

I don't know that I have a single favorite, but an old cover of Dragon (or possibly Dungeon) with a fighter jet and a dragon encountering each other has always struck me as memorable. Another is the one where a wizard is opening a set of double doors (I think), with all of his pet projects (i.e. monsters) behind him.
