Swim check penalty for gnomes, halfling, faen?

The faen in my group rolled weight and height... got the minimum weight... was proud how lean she was ... till someone notices that 11 lbs weight for 14 inches height compared to a new born baby with 6 lbs and 18 inches must be looking... pretty... fat.

Considering how lean they are supposed to be... They must sink like a stone

That's right, and muscle sinks. It's the high-STR fighter that should get an extra swim penalty. But it's not worth worrying about if he's also wearing medium or heavy armor.
