Those of you that are from here know that the largest inn in Kenabres is Defender's Heart. You're unsure if it survived the fall but it was a stout stone structure that seemed built to last so it is possible. It was always a gathering place and good place to possibly get some info, though who is to be trusted now is yet to be determined.

[sblock=OOC] Meliara grew up in Kenabres before she left for training. That was probably only the more recent years of her life (she is 64, I don't know how long she would have needed to train to begin the start of the last story). Also, because she is a musetouched assimar she used to sing at local taverns to make a little bit of money. [/sblock]

So a couple of you are familiar with Kenabres and would know the inn is a good place to get info and would also know if Kenabres has a library and it does:

Librarium of the Broken Black Wing: Thirty-six years ago, a caravan returning to the city from Truestone Quarry was set upon by a gang of vrocks. The caravan might have been outmatched if not for one of the recently hired guards, a wizard named Quednys Orlun (LG male old human wizard 6). Orlun had spent years studying demons, and his spellcasting turned the tide of battle in favor of the caravan. After serving as a guardsman for another few years, Orlun founded the Librarium of the Broken Black Wing, pinning one of the preserved vrock wings above the entrance. The Librarium, often called "Blackwing" by locals, has since become the premier library for demonology and planar travel research in Mendev. In addition to being a library, Blackwing is a museum of demon skulls, talons, and other grotesque trophies. An aged Orlun still oversees the collection of tomes and scrolls and is always keen to acquire new research material for the stacks.

"Back to Kenabres it is. Depending on what time we arrive, we can start at the Librarium of the Broken Black Wing. Maybe we'll get lucky and find some other little piece of information that will be important. If it's too late when we arrive we get rooms at the Inn and start in the morning. Hopefully we will find what we need." Meliara stands up and stretches while her dragon climbs up her arm and settles on her shoulder. "Is someone going to set a trap here or do we destroy the place or do we just let it be? I hate to think of the filth that gathers here."

Thorn looks around and purses her lips, then says, "Don't really have time or equipment to set a decent trap. Now we know where it is, we can let the Crusaders know about it. Maybe they can use it to catch more." She shrugs.

(OOC - Rereading Thorn's sheet, I see I didn't actually take the ranger variant that can set traps. Oops. )

"Librarium should have more about this name though," Thorn adds approvingly. "Better get a move on."
