Pathfinder 1E Sword of Valor, Wrath of the Righteous AP Part 2 with your hosts Scotley and MLeibrock

[sblock=Downstairs]As you enter the room you see it is another semi-circle room - completing the other room's half circle. The room is outfitted with numerous demonic decorations. The eerie green glow is cast by green glass lanterns hung on the walls. A brazen minotaur head hangs from one wall above an altar (what you thought was a table) covered with wavy-bladed knives and curved bulls' horns, while star-shaped symbols in red decorate other walls. A large wooden chest sits near the west wall.

As soon as you step foot in the room, you are aware of a Zone of truth spell ( http://paizo.com/pathfinderRPG/prd/spells/zoneOfTruth.html#_zone-of-truth) Roll a will save please.

Meliara pauses briefly. Though she is still smiling and seemingly calm, inside she is calculating. She took a certain amount of risk in helping her party and friends to gain valuable information yet she knew they would not want her unnecessarily risking her life or going someplace they could not follow.

Her eyes flicked towards the upstairs very briefly, then returned to the dark room where the nefarious tiefling was waiting for her. She stepped to the door to look in but instead found herself overwhelmed with curiosity and walking confidently into the room.

"So... I can guess what your plans for me might involve but why don't we talk about the bigger picture? How can I, and my friends, be of assistance to you?" She especially tries to take in any map information while she speaks and wanders to the table.

[sblock=Upstairs]Jack keeps an eye on the men and readies himself for what might potentially be coming next. He would not really be surprised by anything these demon-loving scumbags would pull. As inconspicuously as he can he repositions himself to somewhere along the wall where he could get a shot of some kind at any of them.[/sblock]

Banaq, Elf Sorcerer L6 Archmage T1

[sblock=upstairs]
Banaq turns aside as if to sneeze or something, and nonchalantly and as quickly as possible casts mage armor upon himself.

Meliara clears her throat as she looks around, sticking as close to the door of the room as she can without looking suspicious. "So... this looks like the party room. Are we celebrating something?" [/sblock]

Meanwhile, still downstairs but trying to keep an eye and ear up the staircase, Thorn glances uneasily at the study doors that Meliara has vanished behind. It had been quiet back there. It was too easy to imagine a Silence spell in effect, or a Domination in play.

Maybe she could get a better idea what was going on in there.

Thorn went to the doors and knelt down to inspect the keyhole and see if it was the kind that went all the way through. While she was at it she gently, quietly tested to see if the door was locked.

The door is indeed locked and the lock is a good one without a see through keyhole. Thorn can hear footsteps beyond the door, so magic that blocks sound does not seem to be an issue. You can only guess at what other magics might or might not be beyond the door. Something about the space beyond the door does may the hairs on the back of your neck stand up and a wave of nausea sweep over you.

[sblock=Meliara] "Celebrating something?" The tone of his voice immediately gains an ominous tone as soon as he says these words and a feeling of 'I'm in over my head' quickly washes over you. "Could be... I guess that depends on you. You see, you have a choice now. I'm going to kill the members of your little group. Cultists they obviously are not so I have no use for them. But you I might have some use for yet. So the celebration can be solely yours if you tell me why you all are here."

You feel compelled to tell Faxon the truth - in part because of the Zone of Truth spell active in this room, but also in part because you get the feeling you are in real danger of dying and know you will have a better chance of surviving if you can just get to the rest of your group. However you will is strong and you know you still retain your free speech.

The adrenaline begins to flow through your veins and as your senses are heightened, you notice Faxon's lips and hands move in a way a spellcaster does. You see no resulting spell though.

Roll a spellcraft skill check is desired. [/sblock]

[sblock=Thorn] You hear hushed words but can not make out what is being said at this point [/sblock]

[sblock=upstairs] The cultists are going about their duties of keeping your group company while they wait for further orders from Faxon. What is the party doing up here? [/sblock]
