swordmage: the gish we've been waiting for?

Githyanki fighter/mages were called gish. WotC designers popularized it as shorthand for characters that swing swords and cast spells.

That's what my Jargon check got me, anyway.

AH YES! Thought it might have something to do with the Gith, but then I could not find any posts about said Gith.
