OoC:
...and that assumes that the gun lands in Avatar's square, or an adjacent (5' move) square that is not occupied by a zombie. Should be a Move action to pick up the gun, and a Standard action to shoot again. Avatar will Power Attack at +2/-2 this time (+9 to attack, DC 21 damage). If the gun is more than 5' away, Avatar will draw his whip (free action) and use his All-Out Attack feat at +5/-5 to attack at +12 with a +10 defense (instead of his usual +15 defense). Instead of doing damage, Avatar will use the Improved Trip feature of the whip to try to knock the zombie off his feet. But the whole whip thing comes into play only if Avatar has to take a move action to get his gun back.

Sergeant will try to grapple the zombie who is on him, and once he has grapple it, he will try to put the zombie's hand behind the undead back and use his handcuff to prevent him to do more harm. To note, I have Improved Pin feat.
[/sblock]

[Sblock=at the mansion]Avatar manages to grab the gun, but misses as the zombie rushes to attack him again. The zombie smashes him on the temple, causing him to stagger.
Sergeant is unable to hold the zombie in a grapple. The zombie retaliates, swatting him with a powerful backhand. Sergeant is able to shrug off the effects.

OOC:Avatar is staggered and stunned! Sergeant makes his toughness save.[/sblock]

[SBLOCK=At the mansion]"Avatar, it is not time to sleep!" tells Sergeant.

I wonder if they are dead or it is only some kind of trick...

Without taking more time to judge, Sergeant decide to concentrate his effort, and shoot on the zombie who is on Avatar.

[SBLOCK=OOC]Sergeant move away a bit from his zombie (10 feet) before shooting with power attack at +4/-4[/SBLOCK][/SBLOCK]

Paladin bows slightly before responding, "I offer you my most sincere thanks Lady Green. We shall await contact from you with great anticipation." Offering her a warm smile, Paladin bows again before making a crisp turn and striding confidently out of the office.

Paladin strides out of the office and meets back with Psyren. They confer about Ms. Geen. a few minutes later a silverhaired gentleman walks by saying to his companion, "What a bloody mess! I could hardly get through the door. What's a Psyren anyway".[/sblock]

[sblock=At the mansion]OOC: Sorry for the delay. I worked yesterday and will do so again today. I plan on updating tonight. PS doesn't Avatar have healing powers?[/sblock]

Ooc: Oh, boy, here we go. Avatar has amazing powers of regeneration, able to literally come back from the dead within hours. And he always makes his Constitution checks to recover from damage, no matter what kind of damage it is. But he has no points in speeding healing from minor conditions: bruises, being staggered, etc. So it literally takes him as long to recover from being staggered as it does to recover a point of ability damage.

Now, he also has healing. But he took the flaw of empathic healing, which means that whenever he heals someone, he absorbs their damage into himself and suffers the consequences. Literally, if he healed someone who was dead, he would bring them back from death, but die in the process! Of course, with his powers of Regeneration, that's merely an inconvenience for him, albeit an unpleasant one. But if he tries to heal himself, he recovers the damage...while immediately absorbing the damage. It's a vicious circle...all it does is waste time while accomplishing nothing of value. So, I'm afraid that either he finds some other source of healing, or he's staggered for the next hour, at which time he automatically recovers from the condition.

Avatar will probably buy off the empathic flaw to his healing after this adventure, but until then...[/sblock]

Sergeant takes a bead on the undead moving to attack Avatar. He squeezes the trigger lightly, dealing a glancing blow that spoils the coup de grace the zombie was about to administer. He cracks a smile and prepares to deal with the other zombie when a bony fist smashes him on the jaw. He stagger backwards under the force of the left hand.

OOC: Sergeant is bruised and stunned. My D20 isn't liking you guys :heh: did you want to spend a hero point.

I think one of us better, or we're going to find out what zombies do to helpless victims real quick!
