SX:2 The Antiques Roadshow (Keia judging)-Completed

"Here a suggestion, you release him now, and I bring the bowl myself, unarmed. If you know me, you must be aware that I am powerless, just like all the other hostage. Before giving you the bowl, you release the other hostages. Does that look like fine to you?" shout Patrick. Before Psyren make any protest, he whispers to her. "I've planted a bug on the bowl, you'll be able to follow it."

Avatar relayed a message through Psyren. "Tell him he either agrees to release all the hostages unharmed, or there's no deal. Nobody's going to let him have both his prize and the hostages."

He also asked Psyren if she thought Relic was able to control Ritland, or at least eavesdrop on any "private" communications Ritland had with the group...or, crazy idea, if that was somehow Relic masquerading as Ritland.

A voice rises from the air above them,"Enough of this. You are in no position to bargain. Give me the bowl. Then I'll leave. If not I'll kill the hostages. You have one minute to decide, then they start to die."

"We can destroy the bowl..." tells Sergeant to himself, without shouting. He stares a moment at Psyren, looking if he has her attention...

Again, Avatar thumbed his communicator. "Psyren", he spoke, "He is the one in no position to negotiate. If he had the power to overwhelm us and take the bowl, he'd have had no reason to waste his time with hostages. Tell him he has one minute to release the hostages or we destroy the bowl."

[sblock=Avatar]Avatar feels a tugging in his mind, followed by a scream,"YOU, I KNOW YOU, YOU'VE RAN MY NAME DOWN, AND NOW YOU'LL BE THE ONE WHO'S SORRY. TRY TO DESTROY THE BOWL. GO AHEAD. THE ARTIFACTS ARE INDESTRUCTABLE. WHY DO YOU THINK LOOK SO GOOD AFTER SO LONG. THEY'VE CHANGED HANDS COUNTLESS TIMES AND THEY ARE STILL PRISTINE. ONE MINUTE, THEN THEY START DYING. WE CAN TAKE THESE PEOPLE OUT OF IT, OR YOU CAN HAVE THEIR BLOOD ON YOUR HANDS".[/sblock]
[sblock=Sergeant]Sergeant also feels a tug,"Go ahead cop. Try to destroy the artifact. When you fail bring it out to the revenant, and I'll send the man back with you. one minute, then they star to die until you hand it over. I'm sure you'll enjoy telling their families that you selfishly let them die' [/sblock]

OOC: Happy Thanksgiving!

"Yes, I see myself telling the family 'I saved them, ladies and gentlement, but we have only one hour left to live because a guy want to bring the armageddon on us with the bowl I trade for his life.' You know, after that many years of work in the police, death have come to be a bad habit that happen around you, it seems you can't prevent it to happen once in a while, but you can limit her work." tells Patrick, not high enough so the hostage can hear him, but Psyren, who is standing next to him, overhear everything. "But the true problem, it is I have no garantee at all that you will release them. You've killed some people you could have easily paralyzed. If I refer to the FBI protocol, I should consider all the hostage I can't see already dead, which mean everyone except one. You want ot trade? I see no problem, but we will trade the item, not simply give it. And I think the true questions is, what would you do without the bowl? How much do you value the bowl? Do you value it more than I value the life of a few hostage. You know, between ten hostages and a nuclear warhead, I know where my priorities are. What I have heard of this bowl, it is more powerfull than the arsenal of the USA. And you want me ot trade it without garantee?"

OOC: The bowl is the last item relic is searching, right?

OoC: Can Avatar communicate with Relic? Or is this just a one-way thing? He'll try to send a response back to Relic if he can.

IC: Avatar had an idea, but there was only one way he could think of to test it. Again, he thumbed his communicator: "Paladin, this is Avatar. If you see any evidence that he has killed any hostages, you are to destroy the bowl. Use Excalibur if you have to. If he spills blood, he forever forfeits the use of the bowl. Do you understand?"

[sblock=Avatar]"I said try it, see what it gets you.", Relic says back in his head. OOC: While you have no telepathic abilities, Relic seems to have keyed in on you specifically, but also to a lesser degree Sergeant. Maybe because he knows what Psyren can do and that he's had limited luck against Paladin. [/sblock]

OOC: It is trhe last item, but not neccesarily the last scene. We are still in Mongolia . :] [/sblock]

OOC: Ok, I know it is a bit lazy, but my character have Eidetic Memory. What do we know about the ceremony with the items. If we have to do the trade, Sergeant want to be sure he will be able to find it. If it means the end of the world, Sergeant will see the bid of 10 lives again 6 billion not a bid to takes...

[sblock=Velmont] No prob, it's hard to remember all the details laid out 4 months ago. ;) Sergeant remembers that the artifacts originate from the ancient kingdom of UR (he beleives this is in present day Iraq) [/sblock]
