SX:2 The Antiques Roadshow (Keia judging)-Completed

Sergeant follow the butler and Avatar, leaving the initiative to Avatar as he is in known ground.

 

[Bront]

The smile quickly fades as Paladin turns his hands over and lets the soil fall back to the ground. Standing, he sheathes Excalibur and turns back to see the others watching him. Rejoining them, he says "Thou spoke truly Avatar. I shall indeed have to work hard not to be distracted from our true goal while here." Running his fingers over the pommel of his sword, Paladin follows the others again.

"Worry not, London is good and safe place. I tour here many times years ago," Psyren says.

After waving the others off, she closes up the Vigilant as her and Paladin fly off to meet Lord Braxton.

OOC: Back, hopefully for good for the most part. I would have had no problem being NPCed or PCed

[sblock=Salix]At some point, I expect Psyren to get swarmed by fans, hounded by the media, had some odd eronious article written about her, or what-not here in London, as her fan base should be stronger in Europe. AT THE MANSION
Avatar and Sergeant are led through the mansion by the butler. They pass many interesting artifacts throughout the halls of the beautiful house, Avatar noting that most of these peices have been chosen for their aesthetic value rather than archealogical importance. They arrive at the library where they see a stout red faced man with silver hair. The library is an amazing showcase of treasures, although neither Avatar nor Sergeant see the stela here. Most impressive is the rare book collection focused on history and pre-history. The butler intones, "Lord Brixton, allow me to introduce Mr. Avatar and Mr. Sergeant. Gentleman, before you is Lord Brixton" Brixton rises and shakes both their hands. Turning to the butler and head of security he says, " That will be all chaps" He looks the two heroes in the eye and says, "Tell me, what kind of danger is my collection in?"

AT HEATHROW

Dick lands and says, "Looks like there is your ride. I'll have this baby gassed and ready to go when you get back." Psyren and Paladin get in a police vehicle and are driven to Christies. The young bobby spends a lot of time making small talk with Psyren, as any redblooded man would. Once they arrive at the auction house they are escorted inside. Psyren cringes when she hears, "O my GAWD. That's Psyren Call Alyssa on your mobile". They are led inside without incident where they are introduced to Miss Green, an assistant director of the auction house.

Heathrow - Paladin, Psyren
"I hope quiet was not goal, for we definately be noticed," Psyren says to Paladin.

"Tell me, what kind of danger is my collection in?"

Avatar nodded. "Lord Brixton, I'll get right to the point. Last night, someone broke into the OI in Chicago and made off with the Amulet of Nanna. That, by itself, wouldn't be worth a visit here, but the thief was wearing something on his face that looked just like the Mask of Amar-Sin. That implies that money wasn't the motive, but maybe collecting all four of the Great Treasures of Ur. And since one of the other three is here...well, if nothing else, we wanted to make sure it was still safe."

 

[Velmont]

Sergeant nods at Avatar statement. "Also, I would add that our robber had powers equivalent of a super. We don't know the extend of these powers yet, but he might easily pass through the standard security."

[Sblock=AT THE MANSION]

"Well then, I say, Mask of Amar-Sin. That was discovered by Dr. Samuel Dawson. Whatever his academic issues, he was a fine archeologist with a nose for finding the goods. I might have purchased items that he discovered several years ago. Haven't seen or heard from the chap in some time. My collection is upstairs in a well-protected vault. Would you like to see it?", Brixton rises and leads the two heroes upstairs.

As the trio climb halfway up the staircase they hear raised voices coming from the area of the front door. A series of shots ring out. "Stop. I said argh!", the voice of Brixton's security man ends upruptly. Brixton shoots an alarmed look at the two heroes. [/sblock]

[sblock=AT THE AUCTION HOUSE]
Miss Green sits down at her desk and beckons Paladin and Psyren to sit in the chairs opposite it. "Well, let me start out by saying that Christies holds the highest ethics, and we will not be strongarmed by the UN into sharing the transactions of our clients. Furthermore, Miss Psyren, don't think that your celebrity grants you any special treatment. My roomate at Ofxford had several of your albums and they were pedestrian at best.", she says in her cattiest tone.[/sblock]

[sblock=Auction House] "Oh, I expect no special treatment Ms. Green," Psyren says. "We just have question 'bout few specific auctions. You like to be of help, no?"
