The robots seem to be entirely working drones and are designed for specific tasks, ranging from heavy work to detailed wiring and electronics. He sees a small army of bugbots, although only twenty or so seem to be complete. [/sblock]

 

[Malthusian]

Intrepid stands at the door, his force field up, awaiting the return of Ghost.

"Guys," he whispers, "I'm sorry about the keypad incident. Not really sure what I was thinking back there. I thought I was a goner; couldn't move a muscle."

 

[JRYoung]

"Don't worry about it Intrepid, these things happen. With good teamwork any obstacle can be overcome. Within the Resolutes we take care of our own." Aquaphibian gives Intrepid a nod of encouragement.

"Dr. Null seems to have moved his lackeys elsewhere, but maybe he is accepting applications at his new facility Twilight Gryphon."

 

[Raylis]

"Given his pentent for robotics I don't think mine would be accepted, besides Villinay isn't really my field of study. Do you still have that Keycard? Maybe we missed something on it that could give us a clue on how to access the doors without setting off the alarm.

He sees a small army of bugbots, although only twenty or so seem to be complete.

Ghost returns describing what he saw which was enumerated above...

He goes on, "20 bug bots comming to life is not a pleasent thought..."

 

[JRYoung]

Aquaphibian: "So bursting in there might not be the best idea... How about this then: Gost, make a complete sweep of the perimeter, find out if there are any other rooms or corridors from this factory area. We'll wait here, maybe this is just a dead end."

OOC: these bots present a clear threat, we can't leave them. We are going to have to find a way to disable them. What ideas do you all have?

[sblock=Ghost] As Ghost cruises around, the droids continue to assemble bots, but none of the completed bugbots stir while he recons. This room leads to another door with a card swipe system. Ghost thinks the door leads to the lab that was locked before.[/sblock]

While waiting for Ghost's return, everyone is somewhat struck at the silence of the compound.

OOC: Thought I would spring Ghost into action to save a day's turnaround.

OOC: Cool by me, don't forget ghosts X-ray vision. Yeah, combine with darkvision and incorporeality Ghost is a real GM party pooper... In teh furture may as wellalways scout when asked to save time.

Ghost will do an X-ray scan around too, and check that other room to confirm its the lab if X-ray is not enough to do so. Then he will return and spill the beans...

Ghost quips, "Um, how about go in and die? Hmm... No wait, that would mess up my poker night, plus I already did the dying thing once or twice and don't care to repeat it. Lets see a better idea... How about I go under the floor and attack one, if they don't do squat, we can probably safely enter... If they do, well, given I won't be very reachable 2' feet or so under ground when I attack, I should be okay..."

Ghost definitely thinks its a lab given the large amounts of beakers and chemicals visible from where he is. He suspects the experiments here might be less mechanical than the other areas.
