refers to an interview where Mieville says that he played up the idea that a combat between golems and elementals represented a conflict between mans intrusion into the natural world (golemns) and the natural world striking back (elementals)
It strikes me that the use of the moster symbolism here is pretty interesting, and would be cool to grab for a game. Anyone have any other ideas or stories to relate about the use of monsters and conflicts that took on "symbolic" import in the game?
