Systems, which are best?

Hey, my group and I are gonna be starting a string of mini-campaigns instead of doing our normal campaign. The campaigns themselves arent gonna last more than 3 or 4 sessions. Anyone got any suggestions for what various systems would be best to use? I'm willing to try anything, from basically any genre. THX.

I would say that d20 or gurps is nearly perfect for this. Each different game has a minimum of rules to learn because they share a common system. Both d20 and GURPS have addons for playing nearly every genre. GURPS is a bit better supported genre wise because it is older but if you're already familiar with d20 that may be the way to go.

or Hero System depends on the power level you want, if its low level, then GURPs is better at doing normal people, but Hero System is better at high powered stuff.

Fuzion is worth a look as well since its free, and you can get free plug-ins to support....

Super-powers
Psionics
Martial Art focused campaigns
Mecha
Cyberpunk
Dragonball

D20 is most wide spread and currently is applied to many different genres.

The only Gurps I ever played was with Car Wars

Pallidium may work for you also. Long character creation, short character life but very diverse in content.

Are you looking for a single system to use with all the mini-campaigns, or possibly multiple?

One game which can do multiple settings, but sort of similar in feel (super-high action), is Feng Shui. The default world involves fantasy, historical, modern and science fiction settings linked to each other. Pretty much any Feng Shui game will involve a lot of butt-kicking and bullets flying, although not so much of the latter if you're in the 69 AD (fantasy) "juncture". But you could certainly run in it entirely isolated periods, leaving out the backstory.

And the game rocks on toast.
