WotC has shared some new art of Takhisis, Dragonlance’s 5-headed dragon queen.

Yeah for sure.Everyone's different. For me, D&D dragons are the standard I put other dragons up too and I typically find most others lacking. On the other hand, my son thinks the GoT dragons (not HotD) are the gold standard.
I can no longer converse with you.Yikes, I am the opposite. One thing I generally disliked about old school DL was Caldwell dragons! I always hated when he was given the art commission for dragon.
While I like standard AD&D dragon artwork, I've never liked the DL redesigns of the dragons. The newer (post AD&D) dragon artwork is hit or miss with me.I've always preferred the sleeker Caldwell version of the dragons, so I'm not a huge fan of that art and they way dragons are depicted in D&D now. Eh, I guess that boat sailed more than 20 years ago though...lol
Tiamat = TakhisisIsn’t that second picture Tiamat? Why on earth would she ever deign to take the form of a human!?
Nothing. But Takhisis after the war of souls.... what happens with Tiamat in the rest of D&D multiverse?
Maybe, it depends. Nothing you don't want to have happen at your own table. Or just her aspect on Krynn is killed. Or everything everywhere. To my understanding Weis and Hickman never cared for D&D's multiverse, and always treated Krynn as its own thing.Nothing.
