Come one, come all!
I figured it would be fun to start up a little ENworld gathering of opinion. If enough people are interested I'll tally up the nominations for games released in 2005 (we'll use US release dates just as a guideline) and put together a poll so we can see what the favorites were for each of the big consoles, the handhelds, the PC and overall.
The categories
Each person has a limit of 5 game nominations per category (no nominations for overall). Please organize your nominations for separate categories in different threads or make it very clear as to what is being nominated for what category (bolding, underlines, etc). Additionally, a link to the gamespot.com or ign.com section of the game would be very helpful (they have screenshots). Along with your nomination please make comments as to why you are nominating that game. As for the overall game, I'll take the top nominated games and figure out a Top 3,5, 10 or whatever list to vote on. We'll see how interest is before going nuts.
I figure each category will have at least 5 games to vote on for Best of 2005 (after all the nominations are in) so I'll set that as the target for now. I'll set the cut-off date for nominations as 12/28/05. That should give everyone enough time to play games you got from the holidays.
There aren't any big releases after 12/20 so the cut-off date may get moved up. We'll see, again - based on interest.
