Appearance:
Cereth was a lean, well muscled man who seemed very confident in his skills. His pale eyes always assessing the situation, looking for weakpoints in those around him. Dark hair falling just below his shoulders in a mildly groomed manner, his clothes always dark and simple, easy to manuever in, and easy to hide weapons in.

Background:
Cereth was raised in a village renowned for it's assassins, always loyal to the Lord for whom they served. The country had wildly 'positive' relations with its neighbors, as those in high places who slandered or cheated met an untimely end. Trained from infancy to use stealth and guile to destroy his enemies, Cereth found himself tapping into a wellspring of power of late.
Trained in callous disregard for life itself, Cereth easily grasped the lessons his family taught.

However, before he was deemed ready for service, Cereth found a man away from the village, who offered him a deadly weapon in exchange for his assistance in a task. Feeling he had little to lose, Cereth agreed, and awoke groaning in a strange place... and not very happy.

Darneth Rauthym is the son of two wizards who live in the city of Silverymoon. He inherited his parents' gift for magic, but never shared the sense of justice they tried to instil in him while growing up in the Silver Marches. Upon discovering that their son was studying the arts of necromancy which they abhorred, they disinherited him, and he turned to a life of adventure. He made his way to the city of Waterdeep where he joined an adventuring company planning an expedition into the vast labyrinth of Undermountain. Unfortunately, just after the party entered the first level of that dungeon, the party barbarian triggered a strange portal and Darneth accidentally stepped through it. There he met man in a red cloak who offered him a crossbow of incredible quality to help him with a magical experiment. After a few words from him Darneth opened his eyes and found himself in these woods. Eventually, he encountered others who shared a similar story.[/sblock]
