Tavern - City of Orussus, The Red Dragon Inn '08

Eanos grows increasingly concerned as he hears the tale of magical shards and death cults. Finally, he speaks up.

OOC: What's Eanos doing listening in? Rinaldo and Nurlan went to a back room for this conversation. I didn't bother with sblocks because I figured that everything we discuss is already well known OOC, but IC, this is a private conversation. Not that Eanos is someone we'd mistrust, just that we didn't invite the rest of you to follow us back.

((OOC: *smacks forehead*. I started skimming to catch up on the thread and completely failed to realize you were in another room. M

Many apologies. I've edited the original post to remove my nonsensical eavesdropping and response))

"They don't have the Peregrination Shard. No one have been in the first location for a long time, and as the name of this shard tell, it is travelling. And all the subsequent location, I have found no trace of someone going there. At least, I am sure they don't have all of them, but you are right, they might have more than one shard as far as we know."

Rinaldo think a moment. "I have contacted the Chromatic Order and they are making all that is possible to get track of the shards and the cult. Also, Vanitri, Elektra and the Freefolks are still on the track of the Peregrination shard. I'm not sure how good they will be able to find that shard, but we are still on the case. If we can secure only a single shard, it will prevent the worst."

"He keeps doing that." Ashnar sighs a bit after Rinaldo talked about the shards and then left with Nurlan.

"When Rinaldo returns, we should talk about at least a skeleton of a plan. Balsra Darr is a trading hub and a fortress. Is it close to other lands? Depending on how we need to free Eleera, our actions may have repercussions beyond Balsra Darr, and may spill onto the surface."

Planus looks longingly after Rinaldo for a moment, wondering what amazing stories he is missing. He is pulled back by Ashnar's comment. "Hmm? Oh, yes, a plan. I do find that most times a plan survives only up until the shooting starts and then it is best to put your faith in those above and do whatever seems best. But a bit of a plan would probably do more good than harm. It is too bad Iggy had to go. He's quite good at the planning thing. What is the deal with those shard things anyway?"

Nurlan, to Rinaldo in back room

The bard nods and replies after a moment's thought. "Whatever comes of it, this is a time of great uncertainty. At any rate, you now the outcome of the mission you entrusted to me. Shall we return to the revelry in the main room?"

Assuming Rinaldo has nothing more to say in private, he then goes back to the main room, sits down with his drink and takes another swig.

"It's probably not wise to talk about that in the public more than Rinaldo already did. He might have said too much already, even." Ashnar tries to keep her voice down as she looks around.
"I understand. I won't mention it again."

Michael comes to a decision and begins looking patiently for Rinaldo.
One hand dips into his belt pouch, from which he draws a milky-white stone.
As he waits, he pollishes the stone absentmindedly between finger and thumb.
