The large half-orc raises his head, when he notices he's gained Liatra's attention. He's still somewhat suspicious, but having another half-orc around makes him feel easier. He doesn't feel like he's getting picked by what he is.

"The name is Durg," the half-orc male grunts to Liatra. He pulls his hood down revealing a clean shaved head. "Who might you be? Is there anything happening around here? I need work."

A group of four adventurers, a human, an elf, a half-elf and a goblin, walk into the tavern. The human carries an oddly shaped bundle wrapped in canvas, while a eagle sits on the shoulder of the half-elf.

OOC: Boy, that introduction sounds like it should have a punchline. Enter D'Artagnon, Atella, Jo and Zhangun. This is a continuation of the adventure "A Tidy Profit".

Atella stumbles in and immediately slides into some shadows by the door, his eyes darting back out into the street furtively. He mutters something unintelligable under his breath before turning to Joe. "Hey Joe, how about some ale?"

Getting a mug, Atella stumbles over to a corner table and sits with his back to the wall, one with a window nearby so he can make a quick escape if he needs to. He looks very badly beaten up, and smells a bit like the sea too.

Zhangsun also smells as though he took a dip in the bay. His expression is partially annoyance and partially deep thought. Sitting at the table he orders a half pint of ale and begins combing the tangles out of his hair.

The half-human with the eagle, recalling the house rule about introductions, turns to the assembled patrons and says, "Hello, I'm Jo Guilan, priest of nature, and this is my friend Haisi. And I could use a good rest." Careful observers will note that, like the purebreed elf who came in ahead of him, Jo is somewhat exhausted and still a little wet. However, instead of getting a room to trance in, he orders a martini and sits down with his companions.

The common room of the Inn gradually gets crowded and noisy as the after-dinner crowd begins to filter in.

D'Artagnon tries to look casual and relaxed, though the budle he is carrying is making him a little uncomfortable.

In a hushed voice he says to the group,
"I think a couple of rooms, and some sleep are in order. I don't think we should leave anything unattended, though..."

"Sure", says Jo, quietly. "Do you think we should keep someone awake at all times? Atella and I won't need to rest as long as you, although I will need a some time at dawn to commune with nature. Say, what about you, Zhang? Do goblins need to sleep like humans?"

Zhang nods, "We do. Sleeping in shifts would be best. We are probably safe here. From the stories I have heard of Joe he is a good man. But he can not be everywhere at once."

Upon seeing the newcomers come into the inn, Merlis looks up from the table he was sharing and watched as their eyes seem to scan the inn looking for trouble as they entered.

~These men are no knovices to the road, I wonder what stories they bring with them...~

Not wishing to be rude to the others, especially the attractive gnomish lass beside him, Merlis decided to wait for a few minutes longer before going over to speak to them.

OOC: Schweet...an adventure has ended somewhere, and where one ends one will hopefully be beginning soon. I hope you guys don't object if Merlis comes over to say hi...
