"Misunderstand? Hey, my cousin is a merchant, you might have seen him here, his name is Rinaldo. "Merchants are all thieves" is a running gag I am using with him... anyway, not important."

She take another sip in his Mug.

"Joe, can you keep it fresh, I'll be back in a moment, I want to take a bath." Opale leaves the romm and climb the stairs up to her room.

Katherine, who had been quietly observing the comings and goings while making her increasingly jumbled notes, interjects politely to Anton, "Bear in mind also that while many come here looking for Adventure in whatever sense they find it, others have more specific goals. Be it to find the most profitable adventures, or those where they can fight foes they disfavor already, or to hone their particular skills. For myself, Ilike to find things that are hidden or lost, and find things out.

"Jack, I understand you completed a successful mission through the maze of tunnels that runs under this city. I regret I wasn't here when that was offered, from what little I've heard of the history, there might have been much that was lost to find there."

"That is a good point, Katherine," Anton shifts in his seat, "And I think mentioned something similar. We all have different reasons for to adventure. Nevertheless, there is indeed some fishy about these merchants... I think Opale would go further in that regard, but."

"That's right..." Jack elaborates, "The Hyraggers are building a new temple across town, and ran into some nasty little beasties when they were digging the foundation. A whole bunch of rat skeletons brought back to life and some walking lumps of fungus were trying to turn the whole place bad.

"Didn't find much else down there, except for a lousy elf hermit and some old worn out demon-book," he concludes off-handedly.

"Hmmm... Yes!" he remembers fondly. "Now the Hyraggers know the worth a good adventurer, and aren't afraid to spend the money to hire one."

As his mistress name is pronounce, the small snake that was sleeping next to a candle make a bit of noise and stare for a moment at Anton, but doesn't seems angry, just curious. He gently roll himself tighter around the candle and go back to his sleep.

"A demon book?" Katherine perks up noticably. "What do you mean? Did it talk about demons or was it written in Infernal script?"

OOC: This is suppose to be a day later, but time consistency is somewhat lost in the tavern anyway. :)

The door to the tavern slowly swings open and Charles Armgill stands in its place with one hand atop the door, holding it ajar to let the light from behind frame his appearance. His medium length wavy hair is blown forward by the wind in the streets, as is the ruffled sleeves of his shirt. He looks about the tavern, identifying those that entered his house only a day ago. When his eyes meet the back of Bartholemu Hollands head, they narrow and one hand drops to grip his Rapier.

Lynx raises his head from his hands and turns to see who just entered the tavern. Upon recognizing the man, Lynx leaps up from his barstool, sending it crashing to the floor.

"I should have known," Charles sneers, "I can never step foot in this place without finding your presence infesting it." He steps forward, releasing the door and tugging his rapier an inch out of its scabbard.

"Therel be non o' that here, lest ye both wishin fer a quick end." Joe promises from behind the bar.

"Your time will come soon enough, chase." Bartholemu threatens.

"Perhaps, but I doubt it will have anything to do with you, Lynx." Charles returns his rapier to full rest in its scabbard and addresses the tavern. "Anton, A'jardin, Fimbus, Lynneth, and Raena. Our transportation awaits outside . I will explain the details you have been so eager to hear when we are outside the city walls."

Bartholemu follows Charles’s exit with a sly smile, though when Charles is no longer looking, he visibly pales as well.

Smiling to himself, Anton takes a last glance around the room. Placing some food next to the drowsy snake, he gets up, "I am not sure what that is about, but maybe we can get the story another time?"

Making his way out the door, Anton raises his hand in a sign of peace and addresses everyone, "Try to stay well and out of trouble. Maybe I will see you again later." He places his mug and his plate on the counter on his way out and tips his hat, "Thank you, Joe."

Opale walk down the stairs. She looks refreshed by her bath. Seeing the merchant in the place, she smiles. She walks down at the bar and take the seat next to her snakes that has been sleeping there.

"Some water and some hot and good food."

As the group starts to leave, she tells to them:

"Good luck, you'll need it."

Farid Duropied, Dwarven Fighter

"Whoa, did I miss s'm'thing?" A short, str-- a heavily armed Dwarf walks into the room. "Hello, Joe. Hello, all. I'm Farid, a warrior of sorts." He smiles as he watzes up to the counter, "How's th' ale here? Oh, looks might good. Thankee." Farid picks up a mug and sits down at a table, putting his equipment to rest next to him. "Any interesting news lat--" He notices the people getting up and leaving. "What's going on, now?"
