Luthiel rises from his seat, saying "Well, I'm not entirely satisfied with your answers my boy, but my curiousity is piqued. I also will journey to meet your master and see if there is any work to be had for me. Lead on."

A wide grin appears on the face of the lad. His eyes gleam oddly, perhaps his master promised him a little reward for a job well done. "Oh good! Oh good, good, good! Please, sirs, follow me!" Practically bouncing with excitement, the apprentice prances out of the tavern.

OOC: If you're coming along, post in the adventure thread "Tests and Trials".

"Jasper, Cryndo, gentlemen, any of you coming along?" He says, picking up is bag. "I believe fate is calling." He then walks out of the Red Dragon Inn.

Devlin finishes his ale and watches the interplay between the messenger and the adventurers. A slight smile crosses his face at the boy's discomfort, but the words "artifact" and "lots after" pique his interest.

"I believe I'll come along to this meeting with the boy's master. After all, it couldn't be worse than my last 'adventure'."

"You know it Garritt. I believe it is high time I set off on a new adventure of sorts." And with that, Jasper hops down off of the chair and bounds out the door like a little kid, almost giggling.

"I'm game. Wait for me!" Cryndo downs the rest of his ale and tosses a gold coin to the barkeep, "Thanks for the drink and the company."

Something's not right about this, is it Varti?" says Malen, running a finger over the rat's fur as the rodent slurps up a last bit of ale and pops back in the dwarf's beard. "But we've got to start sometime, don't we?"

Without another word, Malen stands, pats his pockets as if checking to see if anything is out of place, hefts his pack, and heads toward the door.

Not long after the dwarf exits the tavern, a tall, slender half-elf wearing simple traveling clothes pushes open the doors. He carries with him a spear and a large crossbow; he wears a backpack on his back and a large pouch rests on his hip. He smiles kindly at everyone, announces to all "I am Jann. I have been sent to give my aid to those in need." He chooses a seat at an easily accessible table and calls for an ale.
