"Quiet? I've heard tombs making more noise than this place... the stillness before the Sunday sermon a veritable Donnybrook by contrast... the sweet love notes of an ant for a fellow ant a hymn sung by a 1000-man choir to make more precise the parallel...

In other words -- NO."

[Sunny takes another long sip]

"Welcome Elise," says Sunny Perriwinkle suddenly, having been deep in his cups for a few minutes, "welcome Elise, fellow practitioner. And, while flying kitties are well and good, don't forget the basics --"

[And here Sunny indicates that which is strapped to his back -- his ridiculously oversized bastard sword]

Why thank you, but what do you mean by basics? Weapon fighting?

"I think perhaps he is attempting to make a lewd metaphor involving his weapon? I admit that I am not as easily able as others to understand metaphors involving large swords, as my people do not create such things from metal that can be used for nothing but killing other men..."

"Ah, well you could well be right. I am only thinking back to the way he greeted the last girl to enter this place:

'She's like a sister to you? I mean, yes, she is quite something else... is she like a sister to you in the, well, you know, mountain-dwelling way, or like a sister like, you know, like a real sibling, if you get my meaning?'

'Ah, so lovely, so nice to meet you my dear girl,'

'Very nice to meet you little lady, yes indeed, you could be a sister of mine any day, in any mountin cabin in the land -- har har!'

That's what he said to the best of my memory."

If that is true, then you have a very good memory. If that's the case I suppose that sirs comment could have been lewd, but... I guess

"Well, either way, I know he meant no harm. He seems to make his lewd comments in light-hearted jest, rather than trying to be rude to anyone. He seems like a nice guy, just somewhat socially misguided...I guess that makes him just like me."

"He is Sunny of Clan Periwinkle, if I remember correctly. My memory is somewhat decent, though I could never do that really neat thing like some of my people where you memorise long strings of thousands of random numbers and then recall them perfectly. That would be something neat to work on though!"
