"He is Sunny of Clan Periwinkle, if I remember correctly. My memory is somewhat decent, though I could never do that really neat thing like some of my people where you memorise long strings of thousands of random numbers and then recall them perfectly. That would be something neat to work on though!"

You should work on that if you can, It's a very rare and usefull talent here. Turning to sunny Well good day Mr. Sunny

Well, good day, good day... and no, I didn't mean it in a way that was "lewd", my friend here seems to look for ways to read things in such a manner...it's an odd habit, but already one I find endearing, in a strange way...

I was serious... when trouble comes, it's best to fight it with both sword and spell. If something messes with me, I have a quick answer --

[Sunny again points to his bastard sword, and secondarily to his glaive]

What school taught you proficiency with those? I mean, I also have a back up weapon, patting the light crossbow at her hip, but I knew how to use it even before going to the academy

Vanitri chuckles at hearing the two women chat about Sunny.

"There may be some truth to that, and a good blade at my side is always a comfort when things go bad," Vander says, "but there are other ways to get around trouble than head on. Why waste a spell or shed blood with a sword when you can talk your way out of it? A sharp wit is worth ten times a sharp sword. Or why even confront it at all? Nothing wrong with avoidin' somethin' unpleasant."

That maybe true, but what happens when all you have avoided comes back to haunt you? What happens when all you have avoided comes back to haunt someone else, who can't avoid it?

"That is why I use the power of my words to teach people who have fallen astray the pleasure of helping others and doing good deeds, hoping that the lesson will stay even after my influence on their Zivaash fades."

"And what's to say something you've killed won't have other reprocussions as well? Every action has it's consiquences, some are just more obvious than others." Vanitri actualy looks serious, for perhaps the first time anyone at the Inn has seen. "While I don't know what they're doing know, I do know that the party of goblins I lead on a wild goose chase for several days didn't kill, rob, or even injure anyone while they were following me. And I do know that most of my caravan survived due in some small part to that. I wouldn't be supprised if those goblins are still out there trying to figure out where I lead them."

Anticipating the next question, Vanitri smiles and quips "Of course, I'm not quite sure where I lost them to begin with."

"Yes, your words can be quite... pursuasive" Vanitri chuckles knowingly.

"Hah, peace? If you are well-off, and in charge, sure -- peace sounds like a great deal.

But if you have nothing to lose -- if every day is a struggle for existence -- if change, any change, brings with it the promise of real reform, peace is another word for 'status quo' which, in this context, is another way to uphold the great unfairness we see around us.

Peace at any cost. Hah. That's the sort of talk you get from comfortable folk, in comfortable surroundings, speaking in front of a warm fire with -- yes -- good solid beer in their belly's (and plenty of it).

Just like now..."

[Sunny concludes, smiling, taking a deep sip and leaning towads the nearest fire for warmth]
