*Lasair's eyes blaze with an angry green fire.*

"Are you saying that I am soft--that my people are soft? How dare you suggest that, you who have lived in this 'comfortable' land all your life."

"Your naive defamation of peace in an attempt to make an attempt to incite destructive anarachy seem like a noble cause...that, and not a love for peace as you suggest, is what comes from the fallow imagination of a person from comfortable surroundings. A wistful yearning for an idyllic dream of peace, however, comes readily to those who have never seen peace or comfort, and who yearn every night with all their hearts that some day, if they work away with all their power to pay off the ancient debt of their ancestors' sins, that perhaps their children will be able to live in peace."

"And what's to say something you've killed won't have other reprocussions as well? Every action has it's consiquences, some are just more obvious than others." Vanitri actualy looks serious, for perhaps the first time anyone at the Inn has seen. "While I don't know what they're doing know, I do know that the party of goblins I lead on a wild goose chase for several days didn't kill, rob, or even injure anyone while they were following me. And I do know that most of my caravan survived due in some small part to that. I wouldn't be supprised if those goblins are still out there trying to figure out where I lead them."

Ah yes everything has unexepected consquences, lets use these goblins as an example. There's a host of things that they might be doing right now.

They could be seaching for you, or maybe they gave up and are now back with their goblin families. Maybe their hot on someone else path, for some reason similar to your chase.

Perhaps they are setting up one of those goblin trap that they are so famous for about to snare a lonesome travaller or some deep pocketed merchant.

Or they could be doing something unexepected.

Vanitri puts his hand on Sunny's shoulder and says "My friend, you have a strange view of the world. But the 'status quo' as you say, is never quite what it seems."

Vanitri looks over at Lasair "That, on the other hand, is exactly as it appears. You're on your own my friend."

Vanitri backs away, giving plenty of space between Sunny and himself.

One of the straps on Sunny's sword sheath mysteriously comes loose, and his sword slides down behind him in his chair.

LASAIR, Lasair, lasair you're reading to much into his words. He is not referring to you, your land or your culture. It was just a joke mixed with the revelation that he has been through some harsh times, also. He meant no disrespect, it was only a joke. Perhaps a self depreciating unfunny joke, but one none the less. Just a little humor mixed with a mild bitterness of life... could be depression Elise stops though she looks like she has something else to add, as soon as she can think of something else

"Honestly, I think they only reason they chased me is because I gave them a thurough taunting." Vanitri chuckles. "And yes, they are likely up to more mischief now, but lives were spared (for them as well) and no blood was shed durring that chase. With how Goblins breed, there'd be more of 'em out doing the same thing if they hadn't survived. But it goes to show that you can solve a problem without confronting it directly."

"But believe me, I'd rather be sharing a drink with a fine woman such as yourself than lookin' at a goblin any day. And any man who says different, well... let's just say he doesn't have his head in the clear."

"I think that the problem with these orcs and goblins in these lands is their brutality coupled with sexism. Maybe if someone liberated the orc and goblin females and helped them bring a feminine side to the policies of the humanoids, then we might start seeing at least a few groups that settled down and became more civilised and peacable. I know that that is just idealism though, and I highly doubt that it could ever happen...but...if even goblins could learn to live in harmony with others, what a marvelous day it would be!"

It's true.
