TCotM: Tenebrynn's Idylls

...I think. Temporal mechanics seem to be... weird, to say the least."

(OOC: There's no paradox--you came from the shared past when you were snatched. Every single act you take after being unsnatched is part of a future and can be whatever you want, but if it isn't the right actions, you have simply cut off this particular future (other alternate timeline versions of you might not) )

(That's true to an extend, but not what I was getting at. While we do not know exactly what our now-time equivalents decided when they were in our shoes, we can be reasonably sure they did not decide to, for example, destroy the Crux. If we now decide to attempt to destroy the Crux with Rinaldo's new information, we are very likely deciding the fate of this future now, not just when we return, because we consciously work against what we know. I know that technically, we could spontaneously decide to overthrow any planning we do here, but I felt that this would muddle the point I was trying to make.)

(OOC: As long as there's a possibility that you might spontaneously not destroy it, then that is sufficient. And there will be a reason why that's a possibility (lest paradox ensue, and also just because I had one planned) ;))

"Laynie, you think you could get the rest of this stuff IDed while we talk?" Vanitri asks.

Private:
"I was at my caravan, certaintly not in danger,"

"I know what they do, but I'm pretty sure I remember you guys getting at least some of these identified back in the past, so I can't tell you all of them. Sorry, but you understand, right? You'll be okay--you've got one of the greatest Diviners among our world's elves."

"She's a half-elf--totally different story there. Anyway, I need to make sure you identify some of the items back in the past so that I'll remember that you did. I'm sure guys will have plenty of time to do it."

"I appeared in my office. It seems I was working a new proposition about Orussus security. If I knew I would have appeared a moment later, I could have easily written a note to myself, which I didn't. So either I didn't knew, or I thought it would be better to not know. After that, I've been making my way with my secretary, employee and wife to learn as much as possible without them to figure what has happen to me.

Salvador is studying here and I am not even sure it would be wise to see him. But I wonder what would happen if he learn I am here and I didn't saw him."
