I have some questions about this power:

1)Can I choose to hurl the items (or creatures) at different targets?
The wording of this power differs with the one in the spell telekinesis , but I'm not sure if that is on purpose

2)Can I hurl an object into an empty space?
Basically, here I want to know if I can use the power to move objects fast without smashing them against the floor.

You can hurl one or more objects/creatures at one or more objects/creatures by making a Ranged Attack.
The total weight of the objects/creatures is the key to how many you can move. You can move up to 250lbs, unless you augment the power, then you can move an additional 25lbs per power point. All objects/creatures must be within 10ft of each other to be targeted.
Note: creatures are allowed a Will save and Power Resistance does apply.

The number of targets is equal to your Manifester Level (max #15).

It does not say, but I would consider it like a Bull's Rush, but without you entering the area of the target. The distance they are moved is up to 10ft per manifester level. You can choose to move them less.
