Telepath Skills/ Intimidate

Why does the Telepath (Psion) not have Intimidate as a class skill? Isn't that influencing others? It does use the Cha modifier, so I'd assume it went along with the flavor of the class...

Maybe because someone thought they'd be too powerful?

What with the Telepath's high Charisma, and Various feats for boosting Bluff, A low level Telepath can easily make the king believe he (the king) has smoke coming out of his (the king's) posterior, and that he (the king) should retire to make room for one (ie the Telepath) more able.

Make that with regards to Intimidate, and no-one would even dare to approach the Telepath. He'd just glower at them from a distance, and they'd all just kowtow before such a mighty influential being.

I know that you could use dominate, but I don't see why you should have to if your entire purpose is to influence others... I would think that Intimidate is right up their alley, especially if playing an EVIL telepath.

Pose a question about paladin behaviour... That always illicits a good number of responses.

Try: "My paladin brutaly slaughtered orc children with his Rusting toothpick, after they had surrendered."

Regarding your Original question; Telepaths are already one of the more powerful varieties of psions. If a character really needed Intimidate, you could let him take it with the Cosmopolitan feat, or let the guy swap out a skill in exchange, or heck just let him take it...(if you felt really brave).

I'd definitely say Intimidate goes with the territory. I can only assume someone thought they had too much.

Oooo ... an evil Psion tells the king to go take a nap while he plays king for a while. Sounds like fun, and it's a valid point. I think it is right up their ally.
